Alpha Wire EcoCable Mini - 300 V Supra-Shield Foil + Braid, Multipair
The Supra-Shield foil and braid EcoCable Mini range from Alpha Wire is a 300 Volt electrical cable which is fully recyclable due to its mPPE sheath and insulation construction. This stranded cable can handle extreme temperatures, contains zero halogens and is smaller and lighter than its PVC equivalent. Cables with Supra-Shield have a triple layer of aluminium/polyester/aluminium foil and braided shielding made from tinned copper. The combination of braid and foil allows for excellent EMI performance.

How do communication cables work?
Communication cables work by sending information between two points, often at long distances via their copper conductors or optical fibres. Data communication requires clean transmission with little to no interference from external sources.
What is mPPE?
mPPE is a modified polyphenylene ether thermoplastic. Cables made from mPPE have a smaller wall thickness than other cables due to their dielectric properties. The fact that the cables are lighter allows them to be used in many different applications.
mPPE has a lower specific gravity compared to other jacket and insulation materials such as PVC and PE. This combined with the excellent dielectric properties allow the cables to be up to 65% lighter and thinner than conventional cables.
Product Application Information
Communication cables are used in a wide range of applications such as radio transmitters, electronic circuits, telecommunication, automation and studios. They are also suitable for use in NFPA 79 applications. The purpose of NFPA 79 is to provide safeguards for industrial machinery and to protect operators, equipment, facilities, and work-in-progress from fire and electrical hazards.
