RS PRO DPDT Latching Rocker Switch
Introducing the RS PRO range of miniature and sub-miniature rocker switches with a variety of configurations for greater flexibility across different environments and applications. These mini rocker switches are available with SPDT (Single Pole, Double Throw) and DPDT (Double Pole, Double Throw) contact structure options covering the needs for most applications when these are required. These switches also feature gold plated copper alloy contacts with a mechanical life of 40,000 make and break cycles and have a ULV94V0 case material with tin plates brass switch supports.
Features and Benefits:
Each switch has a mechanical life of 40,000 make or break cycles
The housing and base is made from glass-filled nylon 6/6 or 4/6 allowing for it to be flame retardant and heat stabilised (UL94V-0) for optimum performance in the harshest environments and applications
The contact terminals are made with gold plated copper alloy providing outstanding resistance to corrosion and allows for high thermal and electrical conductivity
The switch supports are made from brass with tin plating for greater durability when exposed to high functioning environments or applications
RoHS compliant
What is a rocker switch?
A rocker switch provides an on/off facility that 'rocks' rather than trips when pressed, meaning one side of the switch is always raised. It often looks like a rocking horse rocking backwards and forwards hence the name 'rocker' switch. It often has a circle for ON on one end and a horizontal dash or line for the OFF side to clearly indicate to the user what status the device is on.
Where are rocker switches used?
Rocker switches can be used in a variety of applications like surge protectors, display monitors, computer power supplies, plus much more.
