Vishay MEPIC Resistors
Vishay Massive Electro-Pyrotechnic Initiator CHIP (MEPIC) resistors offer a great alternative to Bridge Wire (BW) technology. MEPIC resistors allow for the same level of perfomance as BW technology whilst providing greater cost efficiencies. This series of chip resistors is specifically designed to allow a series of pyrotechnic events in a controlled energetic reaction by converting electrical energy into heat energy in a precise electro-thermal profile. Suitable applications for these chip resistors include fireworks (e-match manufacturing), mining (digital blasting and detonators) and automotive (airbags and pretensioners).
