• Eligible to be used for Emergency-stop application with controlled start (category 4)
• Reliable and self-monitoring machine-control circuits
• Interlocking opposing contacts
• Mirror contacts
• Highlighted in yellow (RAL1004)
• Reliable screw terminals
• Top-mounted and non-detachable auxiliary contact (at the front)

Typical Applications

Contactors can be used across a multitude of applications, users will commonly find these contactors being used within industrial settings such as factory automation and control, railway transportation, electrical systems, electric motor, lighting, and mechanical engineering and are a key component when safety functions and the protection of equipment and users are a requirement.

Is a Safety Contactor or Safety Relay required?

When deciding whether to use a contactor or a relay for a safety circuit there are some general rules to help make the decision easier. A contactor should be used when the current is 9A or more, up to 1000 V ac and can be used for 1 or 3 phase safety applications. A relay should be used when the current is 10A or less, up to 250 V ac and usually on single-phase safety applications.
