XMC4800 Family 32-Bit Microcontroller ARM Cortex-M4
The Infineon Technologies XMC4800 family microcontroller is based on the ARM® Cortex® M4 core. The XMC4800 has an integrated EtherCAT® node which allows EtherCAT connectivity without the need for external EtherCAT ASIC. The controller is designed for easy implementation and features analogue / mixed signals capability and an on-chip flash memory. It is full pin and code compatible with the XMC4000 microcontroller family. The MCU is used in many applications such as transportation, Industrial communication, memory interface, sense and control, power conversion and Industrial control. RS also offer Infineon Technologies XMC4800 Relax EtherCAT kit (917-0741) that evaluates the XMC4800 family. The microcontroller and kits work with the IDE DAVE™ software development tool and the DAVE Apps that are available free.
Infineon also offer the ARM® Cortex® M4 XMC4300 EtherCAT microcontroller 917-3429 which has 256 kB Flash/128 kB RAM in a LQFP100 package.
